    Bean is looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to join our team.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop the sales strategy, manage and develop client relationships, and identify and maximize future business opportunities and use these opportunities to bring in more revenue.
    • Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management/the board of directors
    • Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing markets
    • Explain healthcare benefit options
    • Seek out the appropriate contact in an organization
    • Build client relationships with large organizations
    • Generate leads and cold call prospective customers
    • Meet with customers/clients face to face and over the phone and virtually
    • Foster and develop relationships with customers/clients
    • Understand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet these
    • Think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives in order to develop and improve the business
    • Work strategically - carrying out necessary planning in order to implement sales changes

    • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate
    • Keep abreast of health trends and changes in the business world.

    Qualifications

    • An associate degree or a bachelor's degree (preferred)
    • Good knowledge about the Africa health insurance business
    • Strong Sales Track Record
    • A proven ability to hit targets, a consistent background of winning new business and good book of contacts
    • Health Insurance and Employee Benefits Experience
    • Self-Motivated and Disciplined Approach
    • Experience working in a team Excellent communication skillsetting and desire to take leadership roles within a team
    • Basic computer skills
